Community Church of Hope was established in 1996 by the LGBTQ community as a spiritual center. We are a diverse group of people who are God-centered and Christ-driven to provide Hope and Love to ALL. Our mission statement remains as current and alive as it did in 1996 welcoming all communities. Being a part of the greater community is a passion and commitment. Our giving includes organizations and individuals in our community as we reach out to those in need and with those who are celebrating.
This is accomplished through:
2. Community Involvement
3. Nurturing Spiritual Growth
We model these through:
This becomes practical because we:
1. Are balanced in activity
2. Are committed to community
3. Rely on God’s grace
4. Maintain Integrity
To Our Visitors …
Welcome to Community Church of Hope! We understand that faith communities are many and varied and each has its own traditions. In an effort to make your worship experience as comfortable and fulfilling as possible, we would like to outline some of the things that might happen today.
Praise & Worship Music
Our music service is designed to provide a space for people to worship and praise God by singing, praying or meditating together. This process ranges from 20-30 minutes, depending on the needs of the congregation. We generally begin by standing together, although you are encouraged to sit at anytime. While many will sing, clap and raise their hands in worship, it is also acceptable to simply stand or sit quietly as the music continues around you.
Welcoming One Another
This is a time to greet one another. We all stand together and welcome those around us by giving them a smile and a hug or a handshake. Please feel free to participate, or not, as you feel comfortable.
The offering is our opportunity to share in the financial well-being of CCH. Community Church of Hope is completely self-sustaining and the financial gifts received each week are our primary means of monetary support. An offering envelope is provided in your Worship Folder and may be used for the offering. During the service, a prayer of thanks and blessing will be given and then our ushers will collect the offering.
This is our community sharing the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist. During this time, we have 3-6 people serving the bread and grape juice. They will serve you and share a prayer with you. You may also wish to serve yourself. Just let your server know what you prefer. You do not have to be a member of CCH or any other church to share in Communion. It is also acceptable to simply remain seated during this part of the service.
