Embracing Diversity, Sharing Hope: The Journey of Community Church of Hope

We are celebrating over 28 years of serving our community. We not only provide Sunday morning services, but many other services and gifts: Weddings, Funerals, Memorial Services, Baptisms, Blessings for Children, Hospital and Hospice ministry, Christmas gifts to our LGBTQ+ youth, assistance at Arizona Gay Rodeo Association, Gifts to the homeless through Shoe Box Ministry, providing food and more to Nourish Phoenix for their food bank, prayer shawls and lap quilts for those who are facing challenging times, honoring of our community members who have served in the military, social justice, and more. Our Change for Hope (change collected each month) has raised and distributed over $40,000.00 since our inception. We have worked hard to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community—not apart from the community.

Community Church has a great history. But, more importantly, it has an even greater future as we continue to be available for our community. We are committed to providing relevant and quality ministry to our community as needed as we both move forward.

Humble Beginnings

Community Church of Hope began in 1996 as a dream shared by 12 individuals determined to create a church that broke away from their previous church experiences. Their journey began with a critical question: “What don’t we want in a church?” This question laid the foundation for the church’s organization and vision.
